Keeping in view the heavy rains in various parts of the State of Himachal Pradesh, the Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation has advised the tourists to travel safely while planning their visit to Himachal Pradesh.

Director, Tourism and Civil Aviation Amit Kashyap, said here today that in last 24 hours Himachal Pradesh has witnessed heavy rain and there are incidents of landslides on different routes leading to tourist destinations. Therefore, the tourists are advised that before they visit the State of Himachal Pradesh, they may first check the website of State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA). The link of the website is https://hpsdma.nic.in

Further, the tourists who are already in the State are advised not to go near the rivers and hill sides and in case of any emergency they may contact Tourist Information Centres of the Department of Tourism and HPTDC. For any query/information they may visit website www.himachaltourism.gov.in or www.hptdc.in or https://hpsdma.nic.in

Further, the tourists are also advised to get prior information of the tourist places they are visiting about the roads for travelling.
