Public Holidays declared

A spokesperson of the State Government informed here today that 29th September and 1st October, 2021 have been declared as public holiday for phase-I and II election respectively in Sub-Division Udaipur, Keylong and Kaza of district Lahaul & Spiti and Sub-Division Pangi of District Chamba on account of general election to Panchayati Raj Institutions. All Government offices, boards, corporations, educational institutions and industrial establishments situated in the Himachal Pradesh under Industrial Disputes Act and shops will remain closed on the said dates in the areas of above institutions. He said that this would also be a paid holiday to daily wages employees and also within the meaning of section 25 of Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881.

He clarified that special casual leave may be given to those employees who are working in different places in the State but have a right to vote in above concerned institutions on the production of certificate from the concerned presiding officer that the employees has actually cast his vote.
