National Animal Disease Program for control of Brucellosis in Cows started in District Shimla , Himachal Pradesh.

In the far flung village panchayat , Darkali of district shimla , NADCP has started as said by Dr. Anil Sharma , Veterinary Officer , Rampur Bushahr.
The nationwide program was launched by Honb’le prime minister of India in 2019 since then FMD control programme was running in the entire state.
Now from this month June 2022 NADCP has been started for control of Brucellosis disease in animals too.
In cows Brucellosis causes Abortion in last trimester of pregnancy, still birth or weak calf born. In gram panchayat Darkali 20 female calves of 4-8 months age were vaccinated against Brucellosis.
Dr. Sharma said Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease and can be contacted in humans too via contaminated milk and meat products. So , vaccination of animals becomes very important.
With the collaborative efforts of Department of animal husbandry , Humane people group and gram panchayat Darkali the camp went very smooth.
India aims to contol Brucellosis by 2030 under National animal Disease Program added Dr. Sharma.
President of Humane people group Sh. Jyoti Lal , vice president Miss. Ekta Dhiman , Manmohan Mehta, Abhinav, Sidharth , Kakku Mokta and Ankita were present and made every possible efforts to make the camp success.
