Drugs amounting to Rs. 5 Crore destroyed in Kullu District :CM

    Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said here today that on the call of the  Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate “ Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” to make India “drugs-free” and achieve the target of disposal of 75,000 kilogram narcotic contraband by 15th August one hundred ten kilogram Charas/Cannabis  and 06.020 kilogram Heroin /Chitta were destroyed in Kullu district.

The destruction of drugs was carried out by the range level High Power Drug Disposal Committee led by Deputy Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Mandi Madhusudan at Lalit Mediroma International Plot No. 40, Industrial area, Shamshi, District Kullu through boiler in an environment friendly manner in the presence of the representative of Pollution Control Board, Kullu and local media personnel.

He said that the international value of disposed off drugs is about Rs. 5 crore.
