Raghupur area of Anni Vidhan Sabha will be developed as tourist destination so that youth of this area get employment opportunities and area will be brought under Nai Raahein Nai Manzilein scheme. This was said by Jai Ram Thakur in Dehuri village of far-flung Panchayat Karshaigad of Anni Vidhan Sabha area of Kullu district where he inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various developmental projects worth Rs. 70 crore. He also inaugurated Sub Divisional Office of Jal Shakti Department at Shawad in Anni Vidhan Sabha area.
Chief Minister laid foundation stone of 13 development projects worth Rs. 69.68 crore which included Lift Irrigation scheme of Rs. 6.77 crore for agriculture sector in Kungush and Karana of Anni Block, Lift Water Supply Scheme at cost of Rs. 1.23 crore from Dohar Khud under Jal Jeevan Mission for Gram Panchayat Fanauti and Karshaigad in Anni Block and Flow Irrigation Scheme of Rs. 1.01 crore for development of Kamand area in Anni Block. He laid foundation stone of augmentation work of Water Supply Scheme to cost Rs. 5.55 crore for village Karshaigad, Vishaldhar in Anni Block under Jal Jeevan Mission and augmentation work of various Water Supply Schemes to cost Rs. 5.61 crore for Gram Panchayat Chail, Sarahan, Nor and Rohanu in Nirmand Block under Jal Jeevan Mission.
Jai Ram Thakur also laid foundation stone of augmentation of Drinking Water Supply Scheme to cost Rs. 9.58 crore from Samej Khud for Gram Panchayat Tunn, Poshana, Thachwa, Jagaatkhana, Chati and Baro in Nirmand Block and tapping additional source for Water Supply Scheme Averi in Nirmand Block. He laid foundation stone of augmentation of Lift Water Supply Scheme Shila Bauna under Jal Jeevan Mission to cost Rs. 5.33 crore for Gram Panchayat Sarga in Nirmand Block and Drinking Water Scheme under Jal Jeevan Mission of Rs. 14.72 crore for Khun Bandal, Duga Shigan, Jaban Namhog, Bakhnau, Manjhadesh, Chawai, Karshaigad, Ropa, Shawad and Bishladhar in Anni Block.
Jai Ram Thakur announced opening of Primary Health Centre in Karshaigad Panchayat. He also announced to provide funds for construction of Ropa to Lagoti and Koltha road. He announced construction of Nadan to Ranadeveri road under main road project and announced to start science classes in Lagoti School. He announced Rs. 20 lakh for construction of Sarai at Dehuri Temple.
Chief Minister while addressing a massive gathering at Karshaigad Dehuri in Anni Assembly Constituency said that Raghupur area of Anni Vidhan Sabha area would be developed from tourism point of view so that the youths of the area are provided with employment opportunities. He said that this area would be included under Nai Raahein Nai Manzilein scheme. He said that Raghupur and Outer Seraj are picturesque valleys and have immense tourism potential. He said that many areas have been connected with roads in last four years to provide basic facility to tourists.
Jai Ram Thakur expressed happiness over that the people of the area have preserved their rich cultural heritage. He further said that the State Government is committed towards welfare of every section of the society and has launched several flagship programmes and schemes for their upliftment.
He directed the administration to complete the approval related process for camping at Raghupur valley at the earliest. He said that the process of the construction of tunnel under Jalori Jot was under progress.
Earlier, Chief Minister listened to Pariksha Par Charcha Programme of Prime Minister at Government Senior Secondary School Langoti.
Chief Minister paid obeisance at Khudijal Maharaj Temple in Raghupur area and performed puja.
Local MLA Kishori Lal detailed various demand of the area to the Chief Minister. He also thanked the Chief Minister for laying foundation stone of projects worth Rs. 70 crore for the area.
Earlier, BJP Mandal President Surender Thakur welcomed the Chief Minister.
Chairman APMC Amar Thakur, Advisor Himachal Pradesh State Marketing Board Ramesh Sharma, District BJP President Bhimsen, Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg, SP Gurdev Sharma and representatives of Panchayat Raj institutions were also present on this occasion.
