Chief Minister listens to address of PM Narendra Modi to commemorate party Foundational Day alongwith workers
Announces upgradation of Primary School Jhud to Middle school and opening veterinary dispensary in Jhud
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur listened to the address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to commemorate the partys Foundational Day alongwith the party workers at Thunag.
Chief Minister while addressing a largely attended public meeting at Thunag on the occasion, said that it was on this auspicious day that the BJP came into existence at Mumbai with former Prime Minister Bharat Ratan Atal Behari Vajpayee as its first President. He said that in 1975 when Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed Emergency in the country, members of the Jan Sangh held strong protests against the Congress regime. He said that after the withdrawal of the Emergency, the Jan Sangh collaborated with a number of other parties and formed the Janata Party. While the BJP was formed on April 6, 1980, its ideological origins can be dated back to 1951 when Shyama Prasad Mukherjee formed the Bhartiya Jana Sangh, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the BJP was the largest political party in India, both in terms of representation in Parliament and in terms of party membership. He said that the Party has come a long way since its origins in the early 1980s. He said that the Party has overcome several obstacles and failures and at present formed a robust footing in the Indian political scenario and significantly overturned the ideological framework that drove India’s national and international policies for a long time.
Chief Minister said that the BJP made a sweeping victory in general elections held in 2014 upholding Narendra Modis image as its Prime Ministerial candidate. He said that in 2019 general elections again BJP swept back to power and it won 303 seats in the Lok Sabha, bettering the 282 seats they won in 2014 – a performance that not many thought was possible. He said that in the recently held assembly elections, out of the five states, the BJP emerged victorious in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Manipur.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the BJP has completely rejected the politics of dynasty and family and was a common man’s Party. He said that the Congress on the other hand was a party of a family and was almost breathing its last. He said that Shanta Kumar and Prem Kumar Dhumal worked tirelessly to strengthen the base of the party in the State. He said that the State today was fortunate to have a son of the soil as National President of BJP in the form of Jagat Prakash Nadda. He said that it was on this ground that the then National BJP President and present Home Minister Amit Shah, while campaigning for him, announced that once the BJP comes to power in the State the representative of this area would be given big responsibility.
Chief Minister said that various events have been planned by BJP for the entire week starting from 6th April and would conclude with the commemoration of Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April. He said that ‘Chale Booth Ki Ore-Barae Jeet Ki Ore’ campaign would be launched in the State till 30th of this month. He urged the party workers to come forward to ensure door to door campaign to educate the policies and programmes of the State Government. He said that the present State Government has increased the daily wages of the daily wagers by Rs. 50 per day, which was a record in itself. He said that the monthly honorarium of Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi Assistant and Asha workers have been increased considerably. He said that sewing teachers, mid-day meal workers, Water Carrier, Jal Rakshak, Multi-Purpose Workers, Para fitters and Pump Operators have also been increased considerably. He said that the State Government has decided that Zero Billing for consumption of up to 60 units benefitting about 4.50 lakh consumers. He said that cheaper electricity would also be provided at the subsidized rate of Rs.1 per unit which would benefit over 7 lakh consumers consuming between 61 to 125 units.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Seraj Vidhan Sabha area was once known for its backwardness was slowly and steadily emerging as model Vidhan Sabha area of the State. He said that he would be inaugurating developmental projects worth crores of Rupees, besides laying foundation stone of 12 developmental projects worth crores of Rupees late in the evening today. He said that yesterday he laid foundation stone of Rs. 8 crore Degree College at Thachi. He also urged the people to give their wholehearted support to the BJP in the State so that BJP could again form Government in the State.
Later the Chief Minister launched ‘Chale Booth Ki Ore-Barae Jeet Ki Ore’ campaign of the BJP by hoisting BJP flag on the house of Booth President of Jhud village in Judi Panchayat Budhi Singh. He also fixed Name Plate of Budhi Singh on his house.
He also announced upgradation of Primary School Jhud to Middle school and also opening veterinary dispensary in the village.
Senior BJP leader of the area Sher Singh said that earlier the event was held at booth level, but this time the event was being held at constituency level. He said that new milestones of development have been achieved under the able leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
BJP Working Committee Member Gulzari Lal said that the BJP has today emerged as the biggest political party of the world. He said that in Seraj Assembly Constituency the BJP has a strong base and the credit of this goes to the efforts of the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
Seraj Mandal BJP President Bhagirath Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He said that Maha Sampark Abhiyan would also be launched by the Chief Minister today so that the party workers could reach out to everyone in the State. .0.
