While addressing a public meeting at Churag in Karsog Vidhan Sabha area, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced opening of Horticulture Extension Officers offices at Mahog and Mahunag, upgradation of Government High School Kahana to Senior Secondary School and Rs. 10 thousand each to Mahila Mandal of the area from MLA Vidhayak Nidhi of MLA Karsog. He also announced opening of Developmental Block at Churag.
Chief Minister said that the State Government took effective steps to tackle the Corona pandemic in the State. He said that the Congress leaders in the State did not even refrain from politicizing this sensitive issue. He said that they desperately tried to get political mileage even from this sensitive issue but the people of the State were wise enough to understand that the present State Government made every effort to contain the corona pandemic and provided all possible facilities during this period of crisis. He said that there were only 50 ventilators in the State before the pandemic, but today the State has about 700 ventilators. He said that as many as 500 ventilators were given in one go by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the PMCARES scheme. He also thanked the frontline workers such as doctors, paramedical staff, nurses, sanitary workers and police personnel for their exceptional work done to tackle this virus.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government even during the pandemic ensured that developmental works goes on uninterrupted. He said that only aim of the State Government was to ensure all-round and balanced development of the State. He said that the age limit for availing social security pension for old women has been further reduced from 70 years to 65 years. Now the eligible women between the age group of 65 to 69 years would get social security pension without any income limit, he added.
Chief Minister said that the State has emerged as the first smoke-free State of the country where all the households have been provided with gas connections. He said that more than 3.17 lakh families have been provided free gas connections under the Grihini Suvidha Yojna during this period. He said that all the daughters of BPL families were being provided Rs. 31,000 as financial assistance at the time of their marriage under the Shagun Yojna. He also urged the people of the area to give their wholehearted support to the BJP so that the pace of development goes uninterruptedly.
Later, while addressing a public meeting at Kheel in Karsog area, Chief Minister announced opening of Extension Counter of HP State Cooperative Bank Extension Counter at Kheel , Rs 10 lakh for playground in Government Senior Secondary School, Kheel and Rs. 3 lakh for Community Centre at Kheel. He also announced Rs 10,000 each to six Mahila Mandals of area.
While addressing people at Bagsaid, Jai Ram Thakur said that six developmental projects worth Rs. 37 crore were dedicated yesterday for this area from Karsog which included foundation stone laying of roads worth Rs. 20.30 crore and LIS worth Rs. 2 crore. He said that all these projects would be completed within the stipulated time period so that people of the area could be facilitated in time. He said that Rs. 27 crore water supply scheme for Karaog area would go a long way in redressing water problem of the area. He directed the officers to ensure quality construction of all these projects.
Jai Ram Thakur accused the former Minister Kaul Singh Thakur for misguiding the people of the district by spreading canards against the State Government. He said that people of the State were well aware of nefarious designs of the Congress leaders and would not get carried away by their false propaganda. He said that the State Congress leaders did not even spare its own Party by raising bills of Rs. 12 crore in name of distributing masks and sanitizer to the people during corona pandemic. He said that once not even a single PPE kit was manufactured in the country, but today over 15 lakh PPE kits were being manufactured daily in the country.
Chief Minister also remembered former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and cordial relations he shared with the former Chief Minister.
Jai Ram Thakur announced construction of Kisan Bhawan in the area, opening of Sub Tehsil at Bagsaid to facilitate the people of the area.
Chief Minister also addressed public meeting at Mahunag and said that the State Government was committed to ensure development of areas which had remained neglected so far due to one reason or other. He said that this area was not only important from religion point of view but also have scenic beauty. He said that this area would also be developed from tourism point of view under Nai Raahein Nai Manzilein. He said that efforts would be made to open a branch of Bank in Mahunag. He announced opening of Junior Engineer Section of Jal Shakti Vibhag at Mahunag. He announced construction of helipad in the area.
Jai Ram Thakur also paid obeisance at famous Mool Mahunag temple and also listened to public grievances at Mahunag and directed the officers for their speedy redressal. He also announced Rs. 10 thousand each to four mahila mandals of the area.
Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur said that the present State Government under the able leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was committed for development of Karsog area of Mandi district. He said that almost all the developmental projects announced by the Chief Minister earlier have been completed. He said that people of Mandi were fortunate to have a son of the soil as Chief Minister of the State.
MLA Karsog Hira Lal Thakur while welcoming the Chief Minister and other dignitaries detailed various developmental demands of the area. He urged the Chief Minister for opening Sabzi Mandi at Char Kufri and Horticulture Extension Office in Karsog area. He also thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating developmental projects worth about Rs 108 crore for Karsog Vidhan Sabha area yesterday.
