Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has mourned the sad demise of Amit Sharma (23) son of Vijay Kumar of village Talasi Khurd, tehsil and district Hamirpur and Havildar Amrik Singh (39) of village Mandwara of Dhanari tehsil of district Una, of 14 Dogra Regiment who were martyred in an accident in Machhil Sector of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. He has also mourned the demise of Naib Subedar Purshottam Kumar from village Majua Uttmi of Jammu who also sacrificed his life in this tragic incident.
Chief Minister, while expressing his condolences with the bereaved family members assured to extend all the possible help to the grief stricken family from the government and also prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to departed souls and strength to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Deputy Chief Minister, Mukesh Agnihotri also expressed deep anguish over the demise of army Jawans and prayed almighty to give strength to the bereaved family members. In his condolence message, he said that the government always holds the serving and ex-servicemen in high esteem. We can never forget the sacrifices of the brave soldiers towards the Nation, he said.
The vehicles in which these three brave-hearts were traveling skidded off the road during patrolling while on a regular operation task in the forward area of Machhil sector late night on Tuesday.
