Governor inaugurates cleanliness campaign at Kandaghat
Day and Night vision Camera System launched to monitor cleanliness
Governor Bandaru Dattatraya inaugurates cleanliness campaign at Kandaghat, District Solan organised by district administration. Governor gave out the message of cleanliness by cleaning the area himself.
He said that it is not only important to keep our houses and streets clean but cleanliness was also important for the nation. He said that, “Healthy body and Healthy mind”, is the vision of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and cleanliness is first requirement for healthy body. He said that a country can only progress when the citizens of its country are healthy.
Governor said that on 2nd October, 2014 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Swachh Bharat Mission was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Swachh Bharat Mission was inspired from the thoughts of Gandhi Ji because he had dreamt of our country being as clean as the foreign countries, but due to certain reasons it was unfulfilled. He said that our Prime Minister has taken up the responsibility of fulfilling the dreams of Father of Nation inform of Swachhata Mission and its impact is now visible in entire country.
Governor said that the people of Himachal are well aware of cleanliness and such programmes of cleanliness must be organised at bigger level as well. He said that along-with cleanliness we must also focus on making our country plastic free.
Earlier, Governor also inaugurated day and night vision camera system installed by Srinagar Panchayat at Kandaghat market. He also honoured Ananya and Priyansh under “Beti Hai Anmol” programme. He also participated in programmes organised by Women and Child Development Department.
Deputy Commissioner Solan K.C. Chaman welcomed the Governor on this occasion and said that under Poshan Abhiyan district Solan has also been included amongst the 315 districts of the country. He said that in district Solan comprehensive work has been done under integrated child development programme. He said that various programmes regarding cleanliness were organised in the district from time to time to spread awareness. He said that now work is being done towards making the district plastic free and alternative arrangements were being made in this direction.

Coordinator Yog Bharti Himachal Sriniwas Murthy representative of Panchayati Raj Institutions and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
