Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 29 developmental projects worth Rs 102.36 crore at Balichowki in Seraj vidhan sabha area of Mandi district today.
While addressing a largely attended public meeting at Balichowki, Chief Minister said that he had inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs 240 crore the previous day and Rs. 102 crore today for Seraj Vidhan Sabha area. He said that he had ensured balanced and equitable development of whole Seraj Constituency. He said, if Janjehali has PWD Division, Balhickowki has Jal Shakti Division. Similarly, if Bagsaid and Thunag have a civil hospital, Balickowli also has a Civil Hospital. He said that the opposition leaders of the area had nothing to say as whole Seraj was forging ahead on the path of progress and prosperity.
Chief Minister said that opposition leaders were trying to mislead the people of Seraj Constituency as these leaders were against the development of the area. He warned such leaders that people of the area would not get carried away by nefarious designs of the opposition leaders. He said that yesterday he had dedicated Rs. 121crore Water Supply Scheme for 19 Gram Panchayats of Seraj and Balichowki Block. He said that this was also one of the biggest water supply schemes, that would provide drinking water to over 19 panchayats of the area. He said that over 900 kms pipes had been laid under this ambitious scheme.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Seraj Vidhan Sabha area had witnessed unparalleled development during the last about five years and the credit of this goes to the people of Seraj, who reposed faith in him. He said that Rs. 17.20 crore Combined Office Building at Balichowki would provide adequate space for all the offices in the town under one roof. He said that the Congress, today was a sinking ship and its leaders were leaving the Party as they knew that BJP would again form government in the State. He said that with the help and cooperation of the people of the State, BJP would definitely again form Government in the State.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated Rs 17.20 crore Combined Office Building at Balickowki, Rs. 16.27 crore Community Health Centre Balichowki, Rs. 6.84 crore Electric Sub Station at Chhatri, Rs. 1.56 crore additional accommodation for Science Block at Government Senior Secondary School Gadagusaini, Rs. 36.22 crore lift water supply scheme to Balichowki and multi-village group piped water supply for part of Balichowki block, Rs. 37 lakh water supply scheme Bandadhar to Tandi in Gram panchayat Murah, Rs. 1.13 crore lift water supply scheme Seri Baggi Bhanwas Sub Division and Rs. 10.25 crore Pandoh to Kalahani Road. He also inaugurated Civil Hospital Balichowki, Medical Block Balichowki, JE Sections of Jal Shakti department at Sudhrani and Panjain, Government Primary Schools at Saimpur, Daral, Sidhyar, Kandhi, Bhalyari, Gothala and Dhanout, opening of Middle School Dagail and opening of Police Post Gadagusaini.
Chief Minister also laid Foundation stones of Bus Stand Balichowki, Sub Market Yard Balichowki, Panchayat Ghar cum Panchayat Samudayik Centres worth Rs. 33 lakh each at Balichowki, Khahri, Laghdyana and Khoon, Rs. 4 crore Shopping Complex Thachi, Rs. 2.2 crore GSSS Building Kashimbli Dhar and Rs. 5 crore for Government Degree College Chattri.
MLA Banjar Surender Shourie welcomed the Chief Minister and said that Balichowki had emerged as an upcoming town of the region as several major offices had been opened in this town by the Chief Minister. He urged the people to provide wholehearted support to the Chief Minister so that the pace of development goes uninterrupted for several years.
