ACS Excise and Taxation concludes learning and development training programme

Additional Chief Secretary Excise and Taxation Jagdish Chander Sharma presided over the closing session of five days training programme for tax officers organised by Department of Excise and Taxation at Shimla today.

Additional Chief Secretary appreciated the efforts of the Department in disseminating knowledge of new tools and techniques of detecting tax evasions with alacrity. He hoped that tax officers would apply these learnings to achieve higher growth in tax revenues.

Jagdish Chander Sharma emphasized that the Department should strive to achieve growth of 30-40 percent during this financial year. He said that more such training programmes should be organised at regular intervals.

ACS also awarded prizes to top five trainees on this occasion.

Excise and Taxation Commissioner Rohan Chand Thakur thanked the organising team led by Rakesh Sharma and RD Janartha, the Additional Commissioners of GST and Audit for organising the training programme successfully.
