11 percent growth registered in GST collection for September 2021

A spokesperson of Excise and Taxation Department informed here today that Himachal Pradesh GST collections for September, 2021 have registered 11 percent growth as compared to corresponding month of last financial year.  The spokesperson said that the GST collections in September, 2021 stands at Rs.352.69 crores in comparison to Rs. 316.56 crores in September, 2020. The cumulative GST collections in current financial year as on September, 2021 stands at Rs. 2093.65 crores vis-a-vis Rs. 1320.28 crores during the same period of last financial year which is 58 percent more revenue than last financial year. The State GST revenues have continuously registered a positive growth in current financial year, he added. Some of the important factors for maintaining the positive growth rate are monitoring of top taxpayers, performance monitoring of field functionaries, effective enforcement activities by the department, physical verifications of e-way bills, etc.
