Special Gram Sabha meetings would be organised in all the 3226 panchayats of state on the occasion of constitution day on 26 November, 2019. The Panchayat Pradhan would administer oath of constitution to the people on this occasion.
Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj R.N Batta said that it would be compulsory for all the Gram Sabha members and elected members of Gram Panchayats to attend these meetings. Similarly, Up-Gram Sabha meetings would be organised from 28 November to 15 December in which all the members would be given information regarding their constitutional duties.
He said that to mark the occasion, special awareness campaigns would be organised from 26 November, 2019 to 14 April, 2020 in which citizens would be made aware about their constitutional duties.
