Author, historian and journalist Raja Bhasin called on Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan, today and presented a set of books written by him to the Governor.
The Governor appreciated the work of Raja Bhasin and his contribution for the development and propagation of art and culture of the state. He said that the books penned by him would not only be the source of information to general masses but would also be beneficial to the researchers. He hoped that he would continue to work in this direction.
During his meeting, he apprised the Governor about his national award winning works, and said that had published fourteen internationally acclaimed non-fiction books and several commissioned booklets. His book ‘Explore Himachal on the Road’ was awarded India’s National Tourism Award as the best tourism publication in 2015, he informed. He said that he had also published a collection of short stories under the title, ‘Flowerwoods Hotel and Other Stories’. Besides, a number of articles, stories and reviews have appeared in various publications and he writes regularly for several leading magazines and newspapers.
