Office Bearers of MC Shimla thanks CM for providing Town Hall

A delegation of Councillors of Municipal Corporation Shimla led by its Mayor Kusum Sadret called on the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at Oak Over here today and thanked him providing Town Hall building, The Ridge Shimla for the Corporation after its renovation.

They gave various suggestions for its proper utilization in the public interest and demanded Councillors Room and Meeting Hall in the Town Hall building.

Deputy Mayor Rakesh Sharma and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sanjay Kundu were also present on the occasion.

Later, Chief Minister also visited the Town Hall building to have first hand information for using it citizen friendly activities by making it more comfortable to the users.

Jai Ram Thakur went to every room of the building and held discussions with office bearers of the Corporation for its use in befitting manner so that it could be made an attraction to the tourists besides earning revenue to the Corporation.

Chief Minister also inspected the sinking site of The Ridge, Shimla and gave directions to start improvement work on this at the earliest.

Mayor Kusum Sadret, Deputy Mayor Rakesh Sharma, Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sanjay Kundu Councillors of MC and Commissioner MC Pankaj Rai were also present on the occasion.
