Vice-Chancellor, University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni Parvinder Kaushal called on Governor Kalraj Mishra here at Raj Bhavan today and gave a detailed presentation on the achievements and activities of the University.
The Governor while reviewing the progress of the University stressed on quality education and research for competing on global level and also to develop remunerative, pest resistant and climate-resilient varieties of horticultural crops including medicinal and aromatic plants.
He said that eco-friendly technologies for cultivation of different horticultural and forestry crops should be developed. He asked the Vice-Chancellor to develop modern extension methods to reach out to the farmers for providing information on the latest technologies.
Director, Research Dr. J.N. Sharma was also present on the occasion.
