Governor Bandaru Dattatraya visited the Hanuman Ji temple, Jakhu here today and paid obeisance. He also chanted ‘Hanuman Chalisa’.
The Governor went to Jakhu temple in the morning through rope-way. Sub Divisional Magistrate Shimla Urban Neeraj Chandla, who is also the chairperson of Jakhu Temple Committee apprised the Governor about the history of the temple and its religious beliefs.
“This religious place is not only a centre of faith but is also important in terms of tourism. More facilities should be developed for the devotees and tourists coming here”, said Dattatraya.
He also interacted with devotees and tourists from India and abroad on this occasion.
The Governor was honoured by the temple committee which also presented him a photograph of the temple of the year 1837.
