CM, Ministers, senior leaders pay rich tributes to veteran leader

Former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh was cremated with full State honour at his native place Rampur Bushahr in Shimla district on Saturday. 

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania, several BJP and Congress leaders and thousands of people from different walks of life paid their rich tributes to Virbhadra Singh. He breathed his last in the early hours on 8 July, 2021 in IGMC, Shimla after a prolonged illness.

The Chief Minister said that Virbhadra Singh contributed immensely for the development of Himachal Pradesh and welfare of its people during his long political career spanning over sixty years. He remained Chief Minister of the State for record six times and also gave his valuable services as Union Minister. Virbhadra Singh would always be remembered by the people of the state for his contributions, he added.
