Inaugurates Jan Sanwad Kaksh at Mandi
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while inaugurating the Jan Sanwad Kaksh at Mandi today said that this would go a long way in providing a better, comfortable and appropriate place for the people coming for redressal of their grievances. This pre-fabricated structure has been constructed by spending an amount of Rs. 117 lakh.
Jai Ram said he had observed that the people used to face a lot of difficulty while they visit the official residence of the Chief Minister and his office at Shimla as there was not proper place for the visitors coming for redressal of their grievances. The people used to stand along the corridors and especially women, physically challenged people and old persons had to face great difficulty. The present state government soon after holding the reins constructed Jan Sanwad Sadan at both these places to solve this problem. Both these places had ample sitting arrangements and people now no longer had to stand in queue for redressal of their grievances. He said that these Jan Sanwad Sadan have all the basic facilities for sitting besides television, drinking water, toilet and heating etc.
Jai Ram Thakur said that similar facility was also created at Dharamshala in Kangra district. This Jan Sanvad Sadan also has all these basic facilities where people could sit comfortably and meet the Chief Minister and Ministers to redress their grievances. He said that prior to this, people had to face great difficulty in meeting the Chief Minister. He said that efforts would be made to construct similar Sadans at all the remaining district headquarters.
While referring to development made by the Public Works Department in Mandi district, he said that 582 kilometre new roads were constructed during last three years besides metalling 1019 kilometre new roads and retarring and metalling of 980 kilometres of roads. He said that 63 villages had been connected with road facility and 22 bridges and 75 new buildings had been constructed in Mandi district during the period.
District BJP President Ranvir, Chairman Waqf Board Rajbali and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
