Director, HP Census Operations, Sushil Kapta called on Governor Rajendera Vishwanath Arlekar at Raj Bhavan today and apprised of the working system of Directorate of Census Operations. The Governor said that while performing Census work the security and secrecy of personal data should be ensured. He also stressed on spreading awareness amongst the people prior to the Census. Sushil Kapta said that Census 2021 would be the first digital census of India, in which for the first time mobile application would be used to accumulate data. A provision of self enumeration would also be made in Census 2021, which is an initiative of Digital India of Government of India. He said that for management and monitoring of Census 2021 a dedicated Census Portal has also been developed. Deputy Director Rajender Prasad and Aashish Chauhan were also present on this occasion. Later, Himachal Pradesh Prant Sangathan Mantri, Sanskrit Bharti, Narender Kumar also called on Governor. It was a courtesy call.
