- Directs to promote local talent during cultural programmes
- Local instrumental Aarti to be organised as a new practice
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur presided over the state level meeting held here today to review the arrangements for organizing weeklong International Kullu Dussehra commencing from 8th October to 14 October, 2019.
The Chief Minister said that the Kullu Dussehra was an important event for the people of the Nation and it should be ensured that its cultural legacy should be maintained. He also directed to provide opportunities to Himachali artists to performance in the event so that the local talent could be promoted at large.
The Chief Minister also directed for organizing rural sports activities in a befitting manner. He said that the events such as Kabaddi and volleyball should be organized during the fair. He said that uninterrupted electricity supply would be ensured during the fair and adequate generators should be installed for 24 hours reliable supply.
He said that the international troupes and artists coming from outside the State should be taken proper care of and law and order should be maintained at all costs. As a new practice, local instrumental Aarti will be organized during the fair to attract international tourists.
The Chief Minister also directed the administration to look after the beautification works running by present government in the town and to normalize the humane and vehicle traffic besides alternate sources should be explored like overhead bridge in between Sarwari-Sultanpur-Dhalpur.
Director, Language, Art and Culture Kumud Singh conducted the proceedings of the meeting.
