Association titles CM ‘A true gentleman of Himachal Politics’
The administrative officers have made commendable contribution in the development of the state. Their hard work and professionalism has helped the state in establishing its unique identity as a model state. This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while addressing the annual convention of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Officers Association, here last evening.
On this occasion Chief Minister announced to appoint PSO with SDM for their security and to rent free accommodation to SDM where there is unavailability of residence.
Chief Minister said that with the support and sincerity of the administrative officers, the state government has brought many reforms which have demonstrated positive results. The administrative officers serve the state with utmost dedication even during adverse conditions. With the innovative efforts and commitments, many indicators of the State were better than many big states of the country. He urged the officers to work with dedication for effective implementation of government schemes and programs, so that maximum people could avail the benefits.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the administrative officers need to work with transparency and diligence and they should also be more sensitive towards people. He said the increased participation of women in administration was also very encouraging. He exhorted the administrative officers to make optimum use of information technology which would help in effective monitoring and execution of works. He also stressed on the need to organize training programs for officers from time to time.
Chief Minister also released the souvenir Abhivyakti on this occasion.
Jai Ram Thakur was also given the title ‘A true gentleman of Himachal Politics’.
HP Administrative Officers Association President Sunil Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and detailed about various activities of the Association.

Chief Secretary Ram Subhag Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subhasish Panda, Director Information and Public Relations Harbans Singh Brascon and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
