Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur performed inaugurations and foundation stones of 21 developmental projects worth about Rs. 265 crore at Bijhari for Barsar Assembly constituency of Hamirpur district today.
While addressing a mammoth public meeting at Bijhari, the Chief Minister said that the four years tenure of the present State Government have been full of achievements and accomplishments despite almost two years being adversely affected due to the Covid pandemic. He said that all this was possible due to the active support of the people of the State and benevolence of the central leadership. He said that the biggest vaccination campaign of the world was successfully in the country and the credit goes to the commitment of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Himachal Pradesh also emerged as champion in the vaccination campaign and now was pioneering vaccinating the youth in the age group of 15 to 18 years.
Jai Ram Thakur said that he announced in the budget 2022-23 to reduce age limit for old age pension, irrespective of income to 60 years for all. He said that women in the age group 60 to 65 years would also be entitled to old age pension without any income limit. He said that 7.50 lakh beneficiaries would now benefit from old age pension schemes and an amount of Rs. 1,300 crore would be spent on it. He said that the State Government has decided that “Zero Billing” would be done for consumption of up to 60 units benefitting about 4.50 lakh consumers. He said that cheaper electricity would also be provided at the subsidized rate of Rs.1 per unit to benefit over 7 lakh consumers consuming between 61 to 125 units.
The Chief Minister congratulated the people of the area for developmental projects which were dedicated by him today. He said that efforts would be made to ensure that all the projects were completed within stipulated time period to check price escalation.
Jai Ram Thakur announced to upgrade PHC Bhota to CHC Bhota, opening of ITI at Bijhari, Rs. 10 lakh for bridge at Kalwara, opening of Veterinary Dispensary at Baragran and upgradation of veterinary dispensary Bayar to veterinary hospital, announced temporary police posts at Bhaota and Bijhari would be made regular police post. He announced started science classes Kulehara and Ghori Dhavari and commerce classes at Loharli. He also announced opening of Ayurvadic dispensaries at village Sulahri and Uttap lazayana.
The Chief Minister inaugurated Rs. 2.47 crore 10 bedded Ayurvedic hospital building at Bijhari, Rs. 1.28 crore science lab building in Government Senior Secondary School, Jaure Amb, Rs. 6.33 crore bridge over Sirhali khud near Harsour on Barsar-Shahtalai road, Rs. 4.07 crore Chod Nallah bridge on Bijhari Chalsai Chaklada Ambota Ghangot road, Rs. 1.34 crore metalling and tarring of Bara Gram to main road to Kalwal via Than Chalaili Majra under NABARD, Rs. 1.16 crore Science Lab building in Government Senior Secondary School, Dhangota, Rs. 34.59 crore LWSS from river Beas for augmentation of various LWSS of Barsar area, Rs. 2.66 crore augmentation of LWSS Bani Barsar Garli phase-1 and 2, improvement of LWSS Bani Barsar Garli distribution system in Tehsil Barsar, Rs. 14.11 crore LWSS from river Beas for augmentation of various sources in Barsar area under Har Ghar Nal Se Jal scheme, Rs. 1.16 crore LWSS Bhebar Saheli under Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Scheme and Rs. 1.37 core improvement of distribution system of LWSS Amberi Tipper Dandru in tehsil Barsar.
The Chief Minister laid foundation stones of Rs. 6.88 crore bridge over Sukkar Khud on Bara Khalot Sudar Batalau Jaure Ghat road, Rs. 46 lakh room for PSA Oxygen and manifold system at Civil Hospital Barsar, Rs. 8.50 crore LWSS Bhehar Saheli, LWSS Harma, LWSS Bani Barsar, Garli, Rs. 3.09 crore providing household connection under Har Ghar Nal Se Jal scheme under LWSS Bani Barsar Garli zone-2, Rs. 6.88 crore providing household tap connection under Har Ghar Nal Se Jal under LWSS Bani Barsar Garli zone-1st, Rs. 9.86 crore LWSS Uttap Sarwin LWSS Ghallian LWSS Ser Balauni Dhaned Phase-I and Rs. 137.57 crore augmentation of source of various LWSS from river Beas of Barsar area.
The Chief Minister performed Puja at Baba Balaknath temple at Deothsidh. He also inaugurated Rs. 10.34 crore Langar Bhawan in the temple.
He also performed foundation laying ceremonies of Rs. 10.87 crore Swarnim Yatri Niwas No 1 and Rs. 5.08 crore Swarnim Yatri Niwas (No.2) in Deotsidh temple complex to facilitate the devotees.
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur thanked the Chief Minister for inaugurating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth over Rs. 263 crore in Barsar Vidhan Sabha area today. He said that developmental projects worth crores of rupees have been sanctioned for the State by the Union Government, which includes drinking water projects worth crores of rupees. He said that it was due to the strong leadership provided by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi that India was poised to emerge as “world leader’. He said that over 21,000 people of the country were brought back from Ukraine by launching ‘Operation Ganga’. He said that survey of Una-Hamirpur railway ling was also conducted for which 75 cost would be borne by the Union Government. He also detailed various welfare schemes launched by the Union Government.
Former MLA and district BJP President Baldev Sharma said that the State Government has witnessed unprecedented development during the last about four years, despite the Corona pandemic. He thanked the Chief Minister for ensuring welfare of every section of the society in the State budget presented by the Chief Minister recently. He also apprised the Chief Minister regarding various developmental demands of the area. He also appreciated the development and welfare oriented budget presented by the Chief Minister recently.
