CM exemplifies another humanitarian gesture
• Got a patient airlifted from Killar

Another humanitarian act of Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was witnessed today, when he got a serious patient airlifted from Killar, the headquarters of tribal Pangi sub division of district Chamba, in his official chopper by cancelling his scheduled tour.
The patient was shifted to Tanda medical college and is being attended as per the reports received from the doctors.
The Chief Minister has directed the hospital authorities to treat him free of cost and provide him every possible assistance. He said that the government mulls to strengthen the health facilities in the far off and tribal regions of the State. Adequate doctors will be posted in such areas, so that the people living in hard and tribal regions could get adequate medical attention with best facilities.
Pritam Lal, the brother of the patient, has thanked the Chief Minister whom he termed as ‘saviour’ for their family for saving the life of his brother, in a video message.
The Chief Minister has been in the limelight for his compassion towards the needy and destitute since he has assumed the office of the Chief Minister. After taking oath, unlike his predecessors, the Chief Minister went straight to an orphanage to enquire the well being of the inmates and immediately took a decision that the State government will constitute Chief Minister’s Sukh Ashraya Sahayata Kosh with an outlay of Rs. 101 crore so that the facility of higher education could be provided to needy children and destitute women. Later he also announced, to provide Rs 500 as festive allowance to the students.
Similarly, the State Government also announced 10,000 per person, per year will be provided to the inmates of old age homes, orphanages, destitute women and deaf and dumb children. A decision was also taken to increase the age from 26 to 27 of the orphans in ashrams, besides providing them four biswas of land for constructing their own dwelling.
The decisions taken so far for the needy, destitute and most vulnerable section of the society by the chief Minister, signifies his commitment towards serving the needy and most vulnerable sections of the society, which also goes well with the motto ‘Sukh Ki Sarkar’.
