Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated building of Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS) Shoghi constructed with an outlay of Rs. 8.80 crore and newly constructed building of rest house Tara Devi of Public Works Department in Shimla Rural Vidhan Sabha Area, today.
On this occasion, while addressing the public meeting organized at Shoghi, the Chief Minister announced provision of lift irrigation scheme for Anandpur-Shoghi-Jalel-Thadi-Badhai and lift irrigation scheme for Kot Panchayat from Khatnolu Nala. He announced to create posts of TGT Medical, Non-Medical and Sanskrit teachers in Government Model Senior Secondary School Shoghi, Rs 50 lakh for construction of four walls of the school and Rs 3 lakh for sound system.
He also announced the opening of sub-division of HPSEB at Shoghi.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister urged the teachers to guide and provide quality education to the students with a focused approach. He said that Himachal Pradesh has witnessed unprecedented development in the field of education. The state government is developing infrastructure as per the present requirement of remote areas. The students of the state were not lacking in ability, therfore should be provided right opportunities with guidance to move forward. The state government has made efforts in taking forward the state according to the culture of the Himachal Pradesh. The state government has set new dimensions of development despite the Covid-19 crisis. He said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country came out of corona crisis and was moving ahead on the path of development. He also gave detailed various developmental schemes being implemented by the State Government.
The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of Himachal Day, the State Government has decided to provide 50 percent discount on traveling in HRTC buses for women. He said that with this the women would get a benefit of about Rs 60 crore. He said that all consumers upto 125 units would get Zero Bill from 1st July and no electricity bill would be charged from them. He said that with this decision about 11.5 lakh consumers would get benefit of about Rs. 250 crores. He said that no water bill would be charged from all the families living in rural areas. This would provide financial benefits of Rs 30 crore to all our rural families of the State.
On this occasion, Chief Minister also inspected the Unit setup under Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojna.
Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said that the teachers of government schools have done commendable work during Covid-19. He said that as a result of New Education Policy, teachers of government schools in the state have done commendable work. He said the implementation of the New Education Policy would ensure quality education in government schools.
Suresh Bhardwaj said that Chief Minister has ensured equal and balanced development of every Assembly Constituency of the state without any discrimination. The State Government is continuously moving ahead on the path of progress with confidence. He also detailed the various schemes of the state government.
Local MLA Vikramaditya Singh welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for various development projects in the area.
Chairman Kailash Federation and District BJP President Ravi Mehta detailed various developmental demands of the area and said that the state government has ensured unprecedented development of the state.
BJP leader Dr. Promod Sharma also thanked the Chief Minister for various developmental works in Shimla Rural Assembly Constituency.
Principal GMSSS Shoghi Amita Gupta welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries on this occasion.
