ITI to be opened at Laraghat
While addressing the Abhinandan rally organized by Shri Nainadeviji BJP Mandal at Jukhala in district Bilaspur today, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced upgradation of CHC Markande to Civil Hospital and opening of ITI at Laraghat and Mukhya Mantri Lok Bhawan at Jukhala.
The Chief Minister said that the assembly elections of 2017 saw a major change in the political scenario of the State. He said that there was a generation change in the State and the present State Government was working with new zeal and commitment to make Himachal Pradesh a most developed State of the country. He said that during one year tenure he has visited 66 assembly constituencies of the State out of sixty eight to get first-hand knowledge of the developmental aspirations of the people of the State.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Central Government headed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was providing all possible help to the State Government for its developmental endeavours. He said that the State Government has succeeded in getting developmental projects worth Rs.10,300 crore sanctioned for the State during the period of one year. He said that the Prime Minister not also showered his blessings when the present State Government was formed, but he also graced the one year celebrations held at Dharamshala on completion of one year. He said that this shows the concern and love of the Prime Minister towards the State and its people.
Chief Minister said that the State Government has launched several schemes for the welfare of the people of the State in the budget for the next financial year. He said that the Government has decided to provide 50 percent subsidy on barbed wire fencing to the farmers to protect their crops from wild animals. He said that steps have been taken for welfare and development of every section of the society. He said that the State Government has launched Grihini Suvidha Yojna to cover as many as 1.20 lakh families not covered under Ujjawala Yojna launched by the Union Government. Similarly, Himcare Yojna has been launched in the State to cover the families not covered under the Ayushman Bharat Yojna launched by the Union Government.
Jai Ram Thakur announced upgradation of Police Post Namhol to Police Station and opening of Police Post at Jukhala. He also announced Patwar Circle at Kharsi and bus service between Markande Shimla via Neri. He also announced that 50 handpumps would be installed in the constituency and Government Primary Schools Chandpur and Dhamariya would be upgraded to middle schools. He also announced starting of science classes in two Senior Secondary Schools and commerce classes in two Senior Secondary Schools of the area. He also announced that science block would be constructed at Senior Secondary School Ranikot.
Earlier, the Chief Minister performed Bhumi Pujan of upgradation of Brahmpukhar-Shelli Road and Deoth to Lag-Ghat link road to be completed at a cost of Rs. 8.59 crore and Rs.5.86 crore respectively.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of 33/11KV Sub Station to be completed at a cost of Rs. 5.02 crore. On completion this would solve the voltage problem of the area.
MPP and Power Minister Anil Sharma said that the previous State Government only made follow claims and did nothing for the development of the State. He said that this 33/11 Sub Station would be completed within two years. He said that the State Government was laying stress on harnessing of Solar Power in the State and steps would be taken to illuminate the villages of the State with solar lights.
Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur said that the AIIMS in Bilaspur district was sanctioned by the Union Government way back in 2014, but the previous State Government even failed to provide land for this prestigious institution. He said that now the State Government has provided land to this Rs. 1300 crore institution and it would be ready in next two years. He said that the previous State Government also failed to provide appropriate land for Central University in Kangra district. He said that the Union Government was always considerate towards developmental demands of the State, but the previous State Government did nothing in this direction. He said that Hydro Engineering College was also sanctioned for Bilaspur. He also detailed various welfare schemes launched by the Union Government.
Chief Spokesman BJP Randhir Sharma while welcoming the Chief Minister and other dignitaries said that the State Government during the last one year has witnessed unprecedented development under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He said that soon after assuming office, the Chief Minister lowered the age limit for getting social security pension without income limit from 80 years to 70 years. He said that Grihini Suvidha Yojna has not only benefitted the women of the State but, also helped in conservation of environment. He detailed various developmental demands of the area and also thanked the Chief Minister for laying foundation stones of various developmental projects in the area.
MLAs Subhash Thakur, J.R. Katwal and Rajinder Garg, Pradhan local Panchayat Anita Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Bilaspur Vivek Bhatia were present on the occasion among others.
