Inaugurates and lays foundation stones of projects worth Rs. 50 crore for area
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs. 50 crore in Drang vidhan sabha area of Mandi district today.
He inaugurated 45-meter span steel truss bridge over Baggi Nallah on Seghali-Prashar road constructed by spending an amount of Rs. 3.94 crore, PLWS to scheduled tribe population under gram panchayat Chukku, tehsil Padhar completed by spending Rs. 1.94 crore and also LWSS to partially covered habitations from Uhl river to Tung Bizan and its adjoining villages constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.68 crore.
The Chief Minister laid foundation stones of Rs. 1.75 crore building of government senior secondary school Sahal, Rs 50 lakh helipad at Prashar, Rs. 53.62 lakh construction of 60-meter span steel truss foot bridge over Uhl river from Barot to Multhan, Rs. 1.08 crore span RCC T-Beam bridge over Riggad Nallah on Padhar-Hardgalu road, Rs. 1.26 crore building of science laboratory at government senior secondary school Sudhar, Rs. 1.16 crore functional household tap connections augmentation and improvement of water supply scheme Julang Sanglwan to village Batheri and its adjoining villages in gram panchayat Batheri and of Rs. 38 lakh Mukhiya Mantri Lok Bhawan at Hardgalu. He also performed Bhumi Pujan of upgradation of Ghatasni-Barot road and Katindhi to Kashala road under PMGSY-II to be completed at a cost of Rs. 25.19 crore and Rs. 7.09 crore respectively.
Jai Ram Thakur also flagged-off awareness van regarding checking forest fires on the occasion.
Later, while addressing a public meeting at Hardgalu, Chief Minister said that the he today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs 50 crore. This was possible due to the fact that the Mandi district got an opportunity to head the state government. He said that during the last three years developmental projects worth Rs 250 crore were being implemented in the Public Works Department whereas sixteen IPH schemes worth Rs 19 crores were being implemented in the constituency. He said that despite being represented by a senior leader, there was water crisis even today in Drang vidhan sabha area.
Jai Ram Thakur said that development of Drang vidhan sabha area was on the priority list of the government. He said that even during the corona pandemic he has dedicated and laid foundation stones of over Rs 3500 crore in 42 vidhan sabha areas both actually as well as virtually. The Union Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided interest free loan of Rs. 450 crore to the State. It was due to the encouragement of the Prime Minister, that the Indian scientists succeeded in developing two vaccines against Corona.
He said that the state government brought home about 2.50 lakh people of the State stranded in different parts of the country. He accused the previous state government for ignoring the interests of the State and said that the Congress leaders even raised bill of about Rs. 12 crore before its party high command during the Corona pandemic.
The Chief Minister said that the present state government has created 412 new panchayats in the State to ensure participation of people in strengthening the grass root institutions by ensure their active participation. He also thanked the people of the State for giving massive mandate to the BJP in all the elections in the State. He said that the BJP supported candidates won over 75 percent seats in the panchayati raj elections. He also urged the elected representatives of panchayati raj institutions to help the family with covid patients. He urged the people of the State to be more careful against the corona virus.
Chief Minister was presented a cheque of rupees one lakh by Drang Mandal BJP towards Chief Ministers Relief Fund.
He announced rupees one crore for construction of PHC Baridhar and other Health Sub Centre in the area and Rs. 50 lakh for five roads under Mukhya Mantri Gram Path Yojna. He said that additional funds would be provided for Panjori Nallah water supply scheme and additional two sets would be constructed in IPH Inspection Hut Padhar. A helipad would be constructed at Suin panchayat and efforts would be made for developing Jatingri from tourism point of view. He said that HRTC bus pass counter would be opened in Padhar and two additional mini buses would ply in the constituency. He said the efforts would also be made to open Civil Judge Court at Padhar.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated Tinkering Science Lab in Senior Secondary School Padhar.
MLA Drang Jawahar Thakur thanked the Chief Minister for celebrating State Level Himachal Day function in his constituency. He said that the State has witnessed unprecedented development during the last over three years and the pace of development has got an added boost in Drang vidhan sabha area during the tenure of the present state government. He said also detailed various developmental demands of the area. He said that although the area was continuously represented by one of the tallest Congress leader of the State, but still nothing was done and area was still longing for development. He also accused the former MLA of the area for amassing huge prosperity disproportionate to his known sources of come.
