Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that he was performing inaugurations and foundation stones of 12 developmental projects worth about Rs. 140 crore in Sarkaghat Assembly Constituency of Mandi district today out of which projects worth about Rs. 100 crore have been provided at Baldwara area of Sarkaghat segment.
Jai Ram Thakur inaugurated Rs. 2.91 crore 33/11 KV Sub Station at Talau, Rs. 27.85 crore source level augmentation of various WSS/LWSS under Gram Panchayats Nawani, Kashmaila, Dhanlag Chowk, Jahmat and Narola from Dehar (Satluj river) in tehsil Sarkaghat, Rs. 3.14 crore Khudla Saras Samloun Kalthar road and Rs. 2.83 crore link road from Upper Bhamla to Kared Dadhwan.
Chief Minister laid foundation stones of Rs. 2.60 crore Single Circuit HT Line from 33/11KV Sub Station of 33/11 KV Sub Station Khudla, Rs. 2.78 crore Ambla Galu Andhara Harwan road, Rs. 55.25 crore source level augmentation of various LWSS/WSS schemes under Jal Shakti Division Sarkaghat and Rs. 2.12 crore FIS/LIS Matyara in GP Narola in Tehsil Sarkaghat.
While addressing a largely attended public meeting at Baldwara, Chief Minister announced upgradation of Government Middle School Kalkhar to Government High School, Community Health Centre Baldwara to 50 bedded Civil Hospital, starting of science classes in Government Degree College Baldwara, opening of Sub Tehsil at Dhalwan, upgradation of veterinary dispensary at Patrighat to Veterinary Hospital, construction of helipad at Bhambla.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the State has achieved the target of about 97 percent vaccination against the Covid-19. He said that this was possible due to the hard work of the doctors and paramedical staff as well as the active cooperation provided by the people of the State. He said the State Government ensured that no one in the State was deprived of medical treatment due to non-availability of beds and oxygen in hospitals. He said that there were only two oxygen plants in the State when this pandemic spread in the country, but today about 28 oxygen plants were coming up in the State, out of which 12 oxygen plants have been made functional in the State.
Chief Minister said that the State Government was committed to provide corruption-free governance to the people of the State. He said that not even a single allegation of corruption has been reported during about three and a half years tenure of the state government. He said that there was no place for corruption during the tenure of the present State Government. He said that the people of the State have given their wholehearted support to the present State Government in all the elections viz. Lok Sabha, PRIs, ULBs and by-election of two Assembly constituencies with record margins. He said that in PRIs elections BJP supported candidates won over 75 seats of pradhans in the State.
Jai Ram Thakur detailed various developmental and welfare schemes launched by the State Government to ensure socio-economic upliftment of the people of the State. He said that 3.17 lakh families have been provided free gas connections to eligible families under Grihini Suvidha Yojna. He said that HIMCARE scheme of the State Government has proved a boon to those poor families not covered under the Ayushman Bharat Yojna of the Central Government. As many as 1.75 lakh people have been benefitted under this scheme, he added.
Chief Minister was also honoured by various social, cultural and political organizations on the occasion.
Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh Thakur thanked the Chief Minister on behalf of the people of Sarkaghat area for dedicating several developmental projects for the area. He thanked the Chief Minister for his commendable efforts to tackle the corona pandemic in the State. He assured the people of the area that the water supply projects, foundation stones of which were laid by the Chief Minister today, would be completed within a year. He said that Rs 1688 crore external aided Horticulture SHIVA Project was being implemented in seven districts of the lower areas of the State to benefit farmers.
MLA Sarkaghat Col. Inder Singh, while welcoming the Chief Minister to his home constituency thanked him for dedicating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs 140 crores. He said that Rs 145 crore has been sanctioned for roads and bridges during the last about three years in Sarkaghat constituency. He said that Rs. 55.25 crore source level augmentation of various LWSS/WSS schemes under Jal Shakti Division Sarkaghat, foundation stone of which was laid by the Chief Minister today would solve the water problem of the area. He also detailed a few developmental demands of the area.
