Announces three new PHCs in Nahan Vidhan Sabha area
Inaugurates and lays foundation stones of developmental projects of Rs, 161 crore in Nahan Assembly Constituency
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur performed inaugurations and foundation stones of 28 developmental projects worth about Rs. 161 crore at Satiwala in Nahan Vidhan Sabha area of Sirmaur district today.
While addressing a largely attended public meeting at Satiwala in Nahan Vidhan Sabha area of district Sirmour, Chief Minister announced opening of Government Primary School at Rigadwala gram payanchat Kaulanwala Bhud, upgradation of Government Primary School Kun to Government Middle School (GMS), upgradation of GMS Devka, GMS Nalka, GMS Kodewala to Government High School (GHS), starting of +2 classes in GHS Bohliyon, GHS Janglabhud and GHS Tokiyo. He also announced to undertake High school Girinagar of Electricity Board under Himachal Education Board. He announced to commence Science classes in Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) Haripurkhol, Commerce classes in GSSS Bikrambagh, Science (Biology) classes in GSSS Panjahal and GSSS Bermapapdi, Commerce and Math classes in GSSS Senwala.
He also announced opening of Sub Tehsil in Kala Amb area, Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Senwala Mubarikpur, Trilokpur and Haripurkhol, Veterinary dispensary at Devkapudla, Kayari and Sambhalka. He announced upgradation of PHC Rampur-Bharapur to Community Health Centre (CHC). He announced construction of bridge on Bata river at Fatehpur-Gulabgarh, rupees two lakh each for 20 tubewells in nine panchayats of Poanta Block in Nahan Vidhan Sabha area and rupees one crore for various developmental works in Municipal Council area of Nahan.
He said that the State Government would sympathetically consider the demand of Patwar circle in the area.
Chief Minister said that the people of the State have given whole hearted support and cooperation to the people of the present State Government. He said that even during the pandemic the State Government inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs. 4200 crore in 42 constituencies of the State. He said that during the lock down due to pandemic, the State Government safely brought home over 2.50 lakh people of the State stranded in different parts of the country. He said that the Congress leaders did nothing in this crisis and even tried to politicize this sensitive issue. He said that no patient in the State was deprived of beds, medicines and oxygen etc. He reminded the congress leaders that there were only 50 ventilators in the State when the pandemic spread whereas today the State has over 900 ventilators. He said that the State had only two oxygen plants at IGMC, Shimla and Dr RPGMC, Tanda, whereas today there are over 30 oxygen plants in the State.
Jai Ram Thakur said that due to the able and strong leadership provided by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India emerged as the first country in the world to achieve the target of 100 crore vaccination. He said that the State was also about to achieve the target of cent percent vaccination of eligible age group. He said that he personally took up the matter with the Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Piyush Goyal and seven paddy procurement centres were opened in the State, out of which three were opened in the district.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government has launched Sahara Yojna for providing financial assistance of Rs. 3000 per month to families with chronically ill patients, Grihini Suvidha Yojna to provide free gas connections to about 3.25 lakh households, Himcare Scheme to provide health cover of rupees five 5 lakh to eligible families, Social Security Pension to the old, widows, destitute, specially abled etc. He said that over 1.75 lakh families have been benefited under the HIMCARE scheme. He said that Rs 31000 were being provided to daughters of BPL families under the Shagun Yojna at the time of their marriage. He directed the officers to identify the old people above 70 years so that they could be provided social security pension under the old age pension scheme without the income criterion. He said that unfortunately all these achievements seems to be nothing for the opposition as for them development only mean their own development and scams worth crores of rupees.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated Rs. 9.95 crore upgradation of road from Banog to Kheri, Rs. 1.90 crore upgradation of Kheri to Meerpur Gurudwara, Rs. 3.92 crore upgradation of road from Bohlion to Sambhalka, Rs. 2.13 crore District Treasury building at Nahan, Rs. 87 lakh PHC building level-II at Banethi, Rs. 43 lakh Health Sub Centre building at Sainwala, Rs. 30 lakh additional two rooms in GSSS Bikram Bag, Rs. 60 lakh for additional four rooms at GSSS Jamta, Rs. 31 lakh for additional two rooms at GSSS Chakli, Rs. 62 lakh road from Salani Katola river to Harijan Basti, Rs. 2.46 crore 40 meter span bridge over Salani, Rs. 90 lakh 500 LPM PSA Oxygen plant at Dr. Y.S. Parmar Medical College, Nahan, Rs. 35 lakh entry gate at Kala Amb and Rs. 1.29 crore augmentation of LWSS Dhaulakuan in tehsil Paonta Sahib.
Chief Minister performed foundation stones of 16 developmental projects worth Rs. 134 crore which include Rs. 2.01 crore Science Lab at GSSS Surla, Rs 10 crore LWSS Kollawalla Bhund, Barmapapri, Palian, Nahan, Bankallan panchayats, Rs. 10.97 crore 60 meter span bridge over Markanda river on Moginand to Nagal Suketi road including the construction of road, Rs. 18.64 crore 80 meter span bridge over Markanda river and 27.60 meter span bridge over khud on Gurudwara Sahib NH-07 to Markanda, Rs. 67 lakh additional three rooms at GHS Nihog, Rs. 6.13 crore Government ITI at Kaulawala Bhood, Rs. 30 lakh Mukhya Mantri Lok Bhawan at Kala Amb, Rs. 57 lakh veterinary hospital building at Kala Amb, Rs. 30 lakh Mukhya Mantri Lok Bhawan at Fatehpur, Rs. 1.54 crore RCC Box Cell bridge on Jamnighat Jheel Banka Bara to Dhaunwala road, Rs. 3.01 crore road from Dhaulakuan to Labana Basti Bailwali to Ghariwalato Sundanwala to Gujjar Basti in G.P. Dhaulakuan, Rs. 2.51 crore fruit processing unit at Dhaulakuan, Rs. 5.65 crore LIS Kaulawala Bhood, Rs. 30 lakh Panchayat Bhawan and Kayarda, Rs 30 lakh for Panchayat Bhawan at Fethepur and Rs. 71.15 crore 220/132/33KV Sub Station at Andheri (Kala Amb).
Chief Minister also greeted the people, especially the children of the occasion of Bal Divas, which is celebrated every year to mark the birth anniversary of first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru.

Power Minister Sukh Ram Chaudhary said that the State Government headed by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has ensured balanced and alround development of the State and Sirmour district has also made rapid strides in various spheres of development during this period. He said that it was for the first time the paddy was being procured from the farmers of the State through FCI, which has immensely benefitted the farmers of the State. He said that this has saved the famers from the middlemen. He also urged the Chief Minister for providing free power connection to farmers.
MP and State BJP President Suresh Kashyap thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs. 320 crore during his two day visit to the district. He said that even during the corona pandemic the steps taken by the State Government were appreciated at the national level. He said that the State achieved target of cent percent first dose vaccination in the State and now has set a target of cent percent vaccination of eligible age group by end of this month. He also detailed various schemes launched by the Centre and the State Government.
MLA Nahan Rajiv Bindal while welcoming the Chief Minister in his home constituency detailed various developmental demands of the area. He said that the present State Government was a real welfare Government in the State as this Government under the able leadership of the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has ensured welfare of poor and downtrodden. He said that welfare schemes of the State Government have benefitted every section of the society, with special thrust on the person living at the lowest ebb. He thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth Rs 161 crore. He also detailed various developmental demands of the area.
