The department for promotion of Industry  and Internal Trade (CDPIIT) of the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved to release rupees five crore as budgetary support for organising Himachal Pradesh Global Investor’s Meet, to be held on 7-8 November, 2019 at Dharamshala.

In a communique to the Chief Secretary, the Director of CDPIIT has informed that this amount has been approved for five components including conceptualizing, lay-outing and planning of the entire event, creation of infrastructure including hangers for holding of inaugural, valedictory and sectoral sessions, boarding, lodging and transportation of 1000 delegates and printing of promotional literature.

It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had taken up the matter efficaciously with the Union Commerce and Industry Minister as a result of which the Union Ministry has approved to release rupees five crores to the state for the global investors meet.
