A review meeting of Cabinet Sub Committee was held here today under the chairmanship of Jal Shakti Minister Mahender Singh. The members of the committee Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Industries Minister Bikram Singh and Forest Minister Govind Singh Thakur were present in the meeting.
The direction was given to authorities to explore the possibilities of including NOC of mining in the Investment Promotion Bill and simplifying the procedures of mining.
Directions were also given to form Administrative Committee of HOD and deputy HOD level, for monitoring of Corporate Social Responsibility fund and further allocation of work, so that proper utilization of the funds could be ensured.
The committee emphasised on strengthening of the health sector.
Rural Development department apprised the committee that to provide employment at local level, all developmental activities have been resumed in rural areas. Directions were given for 80 percent payment for works in panchayats, so as to provide wages regularly.
Three fully automatic additional weigh motion bridges would be established at Swarghat, Nalagarh and Damtal. Recommendation was made for intra-district and inter-district movement of transport by keeping the safety standard in consideration. It was decided that a COVID safety culture would be generated through strengthening of IEC activities and transport sector.
To boost economy, directions were given to explore possibilities of simplifying forest clearances and steps were proposed to expedite FCA cases.
Emphasis was laid on strengthening the Information Technology department as it plays a vital role in facilitating education sector and other departments as well. To fill up the employer and potential employee gap, a skill register has been developed by the IT department, in which people can register themselves.
Mahender Singh said that the developmental works must go on to attain fruitful results. He said that priority should be given to the announcements and foundation stones laid by the Chief Minister. He said that recommendations of the committee would be sent to the state cabinet for approval.
ACS Forest and Energy Ram Subhag Singh conducted the proceedings of the meeting.
Administrative Secretaries of the State Government were also present in the meeting.
