On 22 November 2022 i.e. second day of Audit Week, a blood donation camp was organized by the offices of IA&AD with the cooperation of IGMC, Shimla. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Mr. Manish Kumar, Director General, National Academy of Audit and Accounts. Mr. Sushil Kumar, Pr. Accountant General (A&E) and Ms. Chanda Pandit, Pr. Accountant General (Audit) were also present during the occasion. Dr. Sandeep Malhotra HoD Blood Bank, along with his team consisting of six Doctors and Nurses from IGMC Shimla rendered their assistance in blood collection.
The officers and staff of the offices of IA&AD and general public showed keen interest and participated in the Blood Donation Camp. A total of 103 units of blood were collected, which was sent to the Blood Bank of IGMC, Shimla.
Sixteenth November is observed as ‘Audit Diwas’ by Indian Audit & Accounts Department (IA&AD), which is headed by the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, to commemorate the appointment of the first Auditor General of India in 1860. In continuation to Audit Diwas, a weeklong celebration from 21st to 27th November 2022 is being organized as ‘Audit Week’ by the three offices of IA&AD located at Shimla in Himachal Pradesh i.e.National Academy of Audit and Accounts, the offices of Pr. Accountant General (Audit), and Pr. Accountant General (A&E).
