Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today visited the Indira Gandhi Stadium at Una to review the preparedness of the rally of the Prime Minister slated for tomorrow.
While interacting with the media on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that this was the 9th visit of the Prime Minister to the State in the last five years, which shows the bonding of Prime Minister Narendra Modi shares with the State and its people. He said that the Congress leaders were baffled due to these visits of the Prime Minister, as they knew that Congress would be completely wiped out from the State in the coming assembly general elections.
Chief Minister said that during his visit to Una, the Prime Minister would be inaugurating Rs. 128 crore Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) and laying the foundation stone of the Bulk Drug Pharma Park to be established in Haroli Vidhan Sabha area of the district. The Prime Minister would also flag-off the new ‘Vande Bharat Express’ from Una railway station, he added.
Later, the Chief Minister also visited Una railway station, the venue of flagging off of the ‘Vande Bharat Express’ train. He directed the concerned authorities to make foolproof and adequate arrangements for making the event a success. He said that the Prime Minister after addressing the public meeting at Una would also address a rally at historic Chamba Chaugan.
Member of Parliament and State BJP President Suresh Kashyap, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar, Chairman State Finance Commission Satpal Singh Satti, Vice Chairman SIDC Prof. Ram Kumar, Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Trilok Jamwal, Deputy Commissioner Una Raghav Sharma, Director Information and Public Relations Harbans Singh Brascon, SP Una Archit Sen were also present on the occasion among others.
