A Spokesperson of Himachal Pradesh State Electronic Development Corporation (HPSEDC) in launched here today that the corporation has signed agreements with four empanelled vendors to enable State Government departments to procure the drones and drone as a service.
The Spokesperson said that Himachal Government has launched project Governance and Reforms using Drones (GARUD) with an initiative to introduce services of drones in the state. He said that the empanelled vendors will provide services of surveillance, surveying, Disaster Management, Agriculture spraying drone and various other services in field of delivery, Surveying and surveillance.
These service(s)/ drone(s) will be provided by HPSEDC to all the Government Departments/ PSUs/ Autonomous bodies etc. through their empanelled vendors at the finalized rates. Drones can be of significant use due to their reach, versatility and ease of use, especially in remote and inaccessible areas of Himachal Pradesh.
