Announces opening of a Degree college at Chhatri
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of various developmental projects worth Rs 14.09 crore in Sub-Tehsil Chhatri of Seraj Assembly Constituency, which includes inauguration of 6 projects worth Rs 13.04 crore in Gram Panchayat Gattu and Chhatri and foundation stone of two projects worth Rs 1.05 crore.
While addressing the mammoth gathering at Mela Maidan Chaplandi, the Chief Minister announced opening of a degree college at Chhatri, upgradation of Middle School Vohal Sainj to High School, Middle School Bagdathach to High School, Primary School Gattu Galu to Middle School, Primary School Rumani to Middle School and to start science classes in Government Senior Secondary School Bihani.
Chief Minister announced to open health sub-centre in Gram Panchayat Jarehar, health sub Centre at Bethwan in Gram Panchayat Gattu, upgradation of health sub-centre Thunachi to Primary Health Center, opening of Veterinary Dispensary at Kakadadhar, construction of Forest Inspection hut in Maihridhar. He also announced construction of an inspection hut at Chaplandi under Nayi Rahein-Nayi Manzilen scheme.
He said that the reconstruction of Seri Bagga water supply scheme of Rs. 80 lakh in Gram Panchayat Kakradhar would ensure adequate drinking water supply to the people of Nehra, Kandhal, Bhajhouni and Chavg villages. He said that the Bethwan Flow Irrigation Scheme of Rs.79 lakh in Gram Panchayat Chhatri and Rs.1.97 crore Chhatri Se Kohidhar Flow Irrigation Scheme and water supply scheme to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 67 lakh would ensure adequate water supply to Briyogi, Ginni Nihari and Karganu Bagdaihan.
He said that the demand of the people of the area has been fulfilled with the inauguration of Rana Bagh to Bihani Seri road constructed at a cost of Rs 3.07 crore and Primary Health Center building at Chhatri constructed at a cost of Rs 4.91 crore. He also laid the foundation stone of the building of Government Senior Secondary School, Chaplandidhar, to be constructed at a cost of Rs 38 lakh. He also dedicated an additional building of Chhatri Rest House constructed at a cost of Rs 1.50 crore.
Chief Minister said that 80 percent work of drinking water schemes worth 1896 lakh in Gram Panchayat Bagdathach, Jhared, Gattu and Gram Panchayat Chhatri and drinking water schemes worth 1629 lakh in Gram Panchayat Baryogi, Kakdadhar, Chhatri and Bung Rail Chowk has been completed. He said that rural upliftment is vital for the overall development of the State. The State Government has launched many developmental schemes and programmes for overall development of the State.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister handed over sanction letters to 200 beneficiaries for construction of houses under Swarna Jayanti Ashray Yojana and flagged off HRTC bus on Seri to Rana Bagh road.
