Chief Minister announces Sub Tehsil at Daulatpur, Sub Employment Exchange at Ghanavi, Patwar circle at Guglehar and upgradation of Veterinary dispensary at Bhanjal
PHCs Amlehar, Badrara Rajputa upgraded to CHCs,
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur after inaugurating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs. 180.31 crore in Gagret Vidhan Sabha area of Una district today. While addressing public meeting at Loharli he announced opening of Sub Tehsil at Daulatpur, upgradation of Government High School Loharli to Senior Secondary School, opening of Sub Employment Exchange at Ghanavi, new Patwar circle at Guglehar, upgradation of Veterinary dispensary at Bhanjal, Joh and Banjri, starting of Commerce classes at Senior Secondary School Tud, upgradation of PHCs Amlehar, Badrara Rajputa to CHCs, upgradation of Primary School Athavan to Middle School and Middle School Babehar to High School. He also announced upgradation of 20 beded CHC Daulatpur to 50 bedded hospital.
Chief Minister said that the present State Government has completed four years and three months in office and out of this, almost two year have been ruined by the pandemic. He said that no one even imagined that the virus would adversely affect the world economy. He said that the consequences could have been far more severe, but of the strong and able leadership provided by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he not only took timely decisions, but also ensured the success of the biggest vaccination campaign of the world.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government during its present tenure ensured that the benefits of the development reach the people living at the lowest ebb. He said that several schemes and programmes were initiated by the present State Government. He said that on the other hand, not even a single scheme was started by the previous Congress Government. He said that the very first decision of the State Government was aimed at the welfare of the old people. He said that the age limit for availing the old age pension was lowered from 80 years to 70 years. This now has been reduced to 60 years and Rs. 1300 crore was being spent on providing social security pension to eligible people, he added.
Chief Minister said that about 2.25 lakh people have been provided free treatment under the Mukhya Mantri HIMCARE Yojna of the State Government whereas Jan Manch has proved a boon to the people for redressal of their grievances. He said that Rs. 31000 were being provided to daughters of poor BPL families at the time of their marriage under Shagun Yojana. He said that Rs. 3000 per month was being provided to families with critically ill patients under Sahara Yojna. He said that no meter bill and service charges would be levied from consumers consuming less that 60-unit power per month.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Congress leaders even politicized the sensitive issue of corona by spreading false propaganda against vaccine. He said that now the same leaders have got them vaccinated. He said that people of the State were aware of the nefarious designs of the Congress leaders and would not be carried away by their false statements.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated Rs. 5.19 crore bridge over Jhangoli khud on NH-70, Rs. 21.13 crore improvement and strengthening of Nangal Mubarikpur Talwara Road, Rs. 5.95 crore upgradation of Thplan road, Rs. 2.54 crore upgradation of Daulatpur to Pirthipur Upperla road, Rs. 2.50 crore upgradation of Guglehar road, Rs. 2.52 crore upgradation of Maidangarh to Muhal Joh road, Rs. 5.95 crore upgradation of Jeetpur Behri road, Rs. 13.64 crore upgradation of Shivbari to Dawali road and new Division and Sub Division of HPPWD at Daulatpur Chowk.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of Rs. 3.54 crore improvement of tubewell at Mandwara, Rs. 3.80 crore improvement of tubewell at Bhaderkali, Mawa Kohlan etc., Rs. 3.74 crore improvement of tubewells at Guglehar, Kuthera etc., Rs. 27.65 crore augmentation of LWSS Kala Panga, Mawa Kaholan, Rs. 1.85 crore LWSS Shivpur and Bane di Hatti, Rs. 5.55 crore augmentation of WSS Daulatpur, Rs. 2 crore workshop building at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Government Polytechnic at Ambota, Rs. 43.37 crore bridge over Swan river on Gagret-Loharli-Chururu road, Rs. 1.34 crore Science Lab at Marwari, Rs. 10.71 crore newly upgraded 50 bedded hospital at Gagret and Rs. 17.34 crore bridge over Kalruhi khud on NH-70.
The Chief Minister also honoured Madan Pathania and Manohar Pathania for donating land for construction of Gagret-Loharli-Chururu Bridge. Parents of children who were safely brought home from Ukraine also honoured the Chief Minister on the occasion.
Union Information and Broadcasting and Youth Services and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said that Gagret-Loharli-Chururu Bridge over Swan River would ensure better connectivity to Una, Chintpurni and other areas with Amb and other parts of Gagret area. He said that he was committed to provide maximum funds from the Centre for development of the State and his Parliamentary area. He said that all the demands related to sports would be fulfilled. He said that inauguration and foundation stones of over Rs. 380 crore were laid by the Chief Minister in one day in the district. He said that all this was possible due to the double engine government at the Centre and the State. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi provided free of cost vaccines to 135 crore population of the country. He said that demand regarding opening of Central school in the area would be taken up with the Central Government.
Local MLA Rajesh Thakur while welcoming the Chief Minister thanked him for dedicating developmental projects worth over Rs. 180.31 crore for Gagret Vidhan Sabha area. He thanked the Chief Minister for laying the foundation stone of ambitious Rs. 43.37 crore bridge over Swan river on Lohardi-Chururu road. He also thanked the Chief Minister for giving SDM office at Gagret and other ambitious projects for the area. He said that channelization of 18 khuds was completed due to the liberal assistance provided by the Chief Minister. He also detailed various developmental demands of the area.
