Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur during his one day tour to Una district today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs. 67 crore for Kutlehar and Haroli vidhan sabha areas of the district.
Chief Minister after inaugurating Kala Kendra Una at Samoor Kalan constructed at a cost of Rs. 16.78 crore announced opening of HPSEB Division at Thanakalan, Rural Development Division at Bangana, opening of SMS Office of Agriculture at Basal, opening of Patwar Circle at Teuri Badoli village and Kiarian, opening of Field Kanungo office at Bihru, opening of veterinary sub centres at Harot, Charada, Balh Khalsa and Bohru, upgradation of veterinary dispensary to hospitals at Chulahri, Chamiari and Dhamandri, upgradation of Govt. Primary schools Tihra and Kakarana to Middle Schools, Govt. Middle school Nari to Government High School and Government High School Teurai to Senior Secondary School. He also announced creating of one post of APRO at Bangana.
He also announced starting of Commerce classes in Government Senior Secondary Schools Dhamandri and Rainsari and setting of Science lab at Senior Secondary School Samoor Kalan. He said that steps would be taken to execute three major roads of the district under NABARD.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Una district during the last four years has witnessed unparallel development in all spheres. He said that developmental works worth Rs 1600 crore has been dedicated or were being completed in different parts of the district. He said that the Kala Kendra dedicated by him today would definitely prove a hub for cultural activities in the area. He said that despite the corona pandemic, the State has ensured that the pace of development goes uninterrupted. The State Government took all required steps to ensure that the precious lives of the people were saved for which health infrastructure was strengthened upto the lowest level, he added.
Chief Minister said that the opposition leaders have nothing against the State Government and in frustration were making wild and baseless allegations. He said that more than 5 lakh families have been registered under HIMCARE scheme and more than Rs 200 crore have been spent for the treatment of 2.17 lakh people of the state. He said that financial assistance of Rs. 3000 per month was being provided for continuous care to the economically weak people suffering from serious diseases under Mukhyamantri Sahara Yojana. He said that Mukhiya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojna has ensured that Himachal Pradesh becomes first Smoke free State in the country. The State Government was providing Rs 500 per month per cow kept in Gau Sadans in the State, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his recent visit to Mandi dedicated and laid foundation stones of projects worth Rs 11,500 crore for the State, but unfortunately the Congress leaders seems to be unaware of these developmental endeavours. He said that people of the State would always remain indebted to the benevolence and affection of the Prime Minister towards the people of the State. He said that on the occasion of the Statehood Day the State Government took a decision that the domestic consumers of the state whose electricity consumption is up to 60 units per month would be incurred zero cost per unit of electricity consumed. With this decision, domestic consumers whose electricity consumption is up to 125 units, would be charged only Re 1 per unit cost, he added.
Chief Minister said that the liquor mafia involved in illegal liquor trade has been arrested and it was unfortunate that they have their links with the Congress party and its leaders. He said that the State Government would take stern action against those involved in drug trafficking and their properties would be confiscated.
Earlier, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones of Rs. 14.70 crore 50 bedded Civil Hospital Bangana, Rs. 15.54 crore augmentation of Lift Water Supply Scheme Dhar Chamukha, Piploo, Daroh Saroh and Chamiari Sihana, Rs. 5.47 crore 33/11KV, 1×3.15 MVA Sub Station Lathiani at Naloot with four outgoing feeders, control room building and staff quarters under Electrical Sub Division HPSEBL Bangana, Rs. 2.60 crore work of development of Water Sports Complex at village Androli under Nai Rahein Nai Manzilein and Rs. 3.73crore new OPD Block of Community Health Centre, Thanakalan.
Later, the Chief Minister visited famous Baba Bal Ashram at Una.
Later, Chief Minister also inaugurated Rs. 3.82 crore newly constructed administrative block of Police Department and Rs. 3.95 crore RTPCR Lab Palkwah, Haroli at Jhalera.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar while welcoming the Chief Minister and other people present on the occasion said that Kutlehar area has witnessed unprecedented development during the last four years. He said that that water scarcity of the area has been redressed and credit of this goes to the able leadership of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. He also accused the former Congress Government in the State for ignoring the interests of the people of Kutlehar area. He thanked the Chief Minister for inaugurating and laying foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs 67 crore. He said that work on Rs 10 crore Gokul Gram at Thanakalan was nearing completion and a Check Dam has been constructed at Samur by spending an amount of Rs 10.22 crore. He also detailed a few developmental demands of the area.
District BJP President Manohar Lal Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion.
