Shri Arlekar interacts with beneficiaries of various welfare schemes Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar today interacted with the beneficiaries of various government schemes during his three-day visit to Una district. During his visit, the Governor said that natural farming has enhanced the quality of crop production, which has proved beneficial to the farmers of the state. He stressed on certification of natural farming products and said that it would benefit the farmers. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a pledge to double the income of farmers and the government is making all out efforts in this direction. The Governor visited the beneficiary of Prakritik Kheti Khushal Kisan Yojana, Joginder Pal, a resident of Lower Basal and took his feedback. Joginder Pal was provided financial assistance of Rs.57 thousand under the scheme. Shri Arlekar also visited the beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) Sukh Devi at Galua. Sukh Devi was provided financial assistance of Rs. 1.67 lakh under the scheme. He also visited another beneficiary of the scheme, Surendra Kumar, a resident of Upper Nari, who was provided a financial assistance of Rs 1.30 lakh for construction of his house. Later, the Governor also met Krishna Devi, the beneficiary of HimCare scheme in Upper Basal. 75-year-old Krishna Devi had suffered a hip injury and was provided treatment under HimCare with an expenditure of Rs. 25 thousand. Krishna Devi also expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister during this occasion. Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Virender Kanwar, Chairperson of Municipal Council Una Pushpa Devi, Deputy Commissioner Raghav Sharma and SP Arjit Sen Thakur and other dignitaries were also present on the occassion.
