Governor Bandaru Dattatraya visited the Indian Institute of Advanced Study at Shimla today. He went around the campus and appreciated the rare heritage building which was reminiscent of the old glory of Shimla.
The Governor said the Indian Institute of Advance Study is a motivational Institute and is a beautiful unison of past, present and future. This legacy of the Britishers is today established as the best center of higher study in the country. The vision of Dr. Radhakrishnan to convert the vice-regal lodge into Indian Institute of Advance Study is benefitting India in his scholarly prowess.
Earlier, Makarand R. Paranjape, Director, IIAS welcomed the Governor and apprised him about the historical background of the magnificent building.
Other family members accompanied the Governor.
