Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has felicitated the women folk of the state on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
He said that the state government is committed towards the upliftment and welfare of women and several schemes have been launched for their socio-economic upliftment. The schemes of the state government like Grihini Suvidha Yojana, Gudiya Helpine, Shakti Button App have specifically benefited the women.
In the recent Budget, the state government has announced awareness programme ‘Woh Din’ for creating awareness in society and for ensuring healthy and productive lives of the girls and women. They are being given financial assistance under various schemes and announcement has also been made to enhance the honorarium of Anganwadi workers in the recent budget.
The Chief Minister said that the women of the state have always contributed immensely in the development and prosperity of the state and the government was resolute to provide them all benefits, security and opportunities so that they could live with dignity.
