Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today launched Mukhya Mantri Seva Sankalp Helpline 1100 for the speedy and time bound redressal of public grievances by effective use of latest technologies.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that the main focus of the State Government from the day of assuming office was to ensure that the issues, problems and grievances of the general public were redressed at the earliest and in a time bound manner. He said that the State Government also launched Jan Manch for the redressal of the Public grievances. He said that over 35,000 public grievances have been redressed in the Jan Manch. Now going a step forward, the State Government has started this helpline to ensure that the people would not require to even to go to Jan Manch for redressal of their grievances, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that best practices of the helpline, functioning in other three States have been adopted by the State Information Technology Department so that the Helpline of the State emerges as the best helpline of the Country. He said that the people of the State would now be able to register their complaints online and also monitor the progress with a click. He said that as many as 56 departments of the State has been involved in this helpline by geo-mapping and geo-tagging. This would also help in making the whole procedure paperless and lessen the footfall in Government offices, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government would also welcome healthy and constructive suggestions and compile them so that they could be used for betterment of the State. He said that he would himself regularly monitor the progress of Helpline as well as Jan Manch. He said that the helpline would supplement the effectiveness and usefulness of the Jan Manch. He said that all the members of the Helpline should be very courteous and polite to the complainants so that they could comfortably and easily register their complaints.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the 1100 number should be popularised in such a way that it becomes a familiar number with each and every household of the State so that people could derive maximum benefits from the programme. He also urged the Ministers, elected representatives and other functionaries for ensuring popularising the Chief Minister Seva Sankalp Helpline 1100, he added. He said that the helpline will function six days in a week from 7 AM to 10 PM.
The Chief Minister said that the whole nation was celebrating Seva Saptah from 14th September to 20th September, 2019 to celebrate the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the Mukhya Mantri Seva Sanklap Helpline was a gift to the people of the State on the occasion of this Seva Saptah.
Information Technology and Agriculture Minister Dr. Ram Lal Markanda said that anyone from anywhere in the State can register his or her complaint for the mobile and their grievances would be redressed at the earliest. He said that the State Government would take strict action against the officers responsible for the delay in redressal of the people grievances.
Principal Secretary Information Technology J.C. Sharma welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He said that the Helpline is aimed at quick redressal of the public grievances by effective use of the latest technology.
Director Information Technology Rohan Chand Thakur presented vote of thanks and detailed various salient features of the Helpline. He said that till date this facility is available in Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh States. He said that the IT Department would provide training to the officers and officials of the State Government to effectively operate the Helpline.
